As I drove into town this morning the intersection of Vale
Park Rd. Roosevelt Rd. and Calumet were blocked off by a fire engine AND
police. Looked like a fender bender.
So I took a shortcut through a mini-all to see SWAT teams
and police with AR-15’s and street sweeper shotguns getting positioned to fire
on the building.
One cop looked at me and screamed, ‘get out of here…NOW!” So
I went home to grab the camera.
Lemme see, Indiana State Police, check. Porter county
Sheriff, check. Local Valpo cops, check. Choppers in the air, check. It's a
big deal.
Some in the crowd claimed it was a hostage situation in the
real estate office and shots had been fired.
This kind of crap rarely happens out here in Mayberry. More
to come?

Went back to the scene about about an hour ago. I saw a friend who is an FBI field agent directing some SWAT guys. He will fill me in later.
It's a real circus down there.
Wow still a scene, eh? Hope no innocents get hurt.
Hit the news, hostage situation in a real estate office, some shots fired.
Valpo made the lead story on all FOXnews national updates tonite.
So at least we got that going for us...which is nice : )

That is more bona-fide action than we had all week here in Chicago w/the NATO protests.
