NFL vs. UFC

I am probably one of the few people who know how hard it is to be a professional mixed martial artist. In the lower ranks the pay is lousy, the hours long, and there needs to be a little luck in play to get your name out there if you want to try to join the ranks of the elite.

I know this because I train professional and amateur fighters and have seen a lot of stuff go down. I excel in pads and at this point would probably classify myself as one of the top pad holders in the Midwest and I have heard that from a lot of people who have been around the block.

In fact, I would say that mixed martial artists train as hard, if not harder than any other professional athlete. Plus they take the punishment that no other sport can offer. Someone else trying to take your friggin' head off. Sure, pro football has high speed colisions, but not all the time.

I had to laugh when the MMA boards exploded with contempt for Chad OchoQuatro for this bit of bullshit.

Of course Chad is all talk and Dana White is too smart to let the UFC sanction a fight like this. Of course George St. Pierre would literally kill Chad in the ring. But to anyone who knows anything about MMA, it is preposterous to think that any dude, even a pro football player, who hasn't trained for MMA with the three disciplines (Muay Thai, Transitions/Wrestling, and Jiu Jitsu) would stand a snowballs chance against a mid level fighter, much less a champion like St. Pierre. It really is pretty funny to imagine seeing Chad in the Octagon. In fact, I would wager that I could take him with just my 4.5 years of Muay Thai training.

That dipsh*t Chad is a publicity machine I'll say that for him.

Chad's real risk now is that he goes out and his posse isn't armed well enough and any old guy in MMA who washed out and wants a comeback or spotlight of his own will start something and Chad will get his head ripped off.

Kind of like those Jersey Shore dopes attracting all the meatheads to fight.

Except this will end a LOT faster. And then Chad's posse will whip out their guns and shoot them sideways and put 1000 bullets into the club and 2 on target

I would LOVE to see 86 get 86'ed by a true MMA pro.

Sorry, that would be 85 getting 86'ed. Another typo Andy.
