Trader Vic's

I love Tiki bars and the entire tiki-lifestyle. Once I even purchased a whole tiki bar for a friend of mine (on a dare, kind of).

Recently I went to Trader Vic's on State Street (they closed the one in the loop) and stopped by for a drink. I love the giant-size xmas lights and the skull shaped drinking glasses. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Great pictures. I'm from Wisconsin. I love getting down to Trader Vic's in Chicago. The Tiki Terrace in Des Plaines is also a great stop.

Did not know they were still around.

In the 60's and 70's polynesian restaurants were popular in Chicago. I also have been to Kon Tiki at the old Sheraton on N.Michigan and Don The Beachcomber which I believe was on E. Walton.

I'll order a Zombie, make that a double please.
