White Sox Still on a Roll

The White Sox swept the Angels and won Friday night against the Kansas City Royals. I was able to get this great photo of the post game fireworks (most of my photos are blurry and crappy).

This photo is of the anchor from Comcast SportsNet here in Chicago named Sarah (don't want the internet traffic) - here is a link to her (scroll down). She is apparently boning up on what questions she wants to ask AJ (wasn't she attending the game? Doesn't she remember that he hit 2 home runs?)

And here she is talking to AJ as the (regular) fireworks that come up after a Sox victory causes smoke to drift through the stadium... before the big fireworks show begins.

Hope the Sox can keep this up through the All-Star break and then on into the 2nd half of the season.  Thankfully competition isn't too tough in their division facing just the Twins and Tigers compared to the madhouse out east where Tampa Bay, NY and Boston are slugging it out.

It is bad luck that Peavy is out for the season.  The baseball playoffs become a crap shoot in the 5 game first round and it would have been great to start with Peavy and Buehrle 1-2 (or 2-1 depending) and while we still have a great team (the way we have been playing recently, at least) we won't have that same lead off starting pitcher duo.

Outstanding fireworks image!

Been watching each and every game and like what I'm seeing. The Sox are surprisingly for real.

They're now in control of their future with many series coming up vs. Tigers and Twinkies after the break.

You picked a good year to buy tickets.
