Alpacas

I thought a little bit of Alpaca fun would brighten everybody's Friday a bit. I saw them a couple of months ago in Galena outside of the "Galena Log Cabin Gateway". Funny I thought they were Llamas (went packing with them once) but turns out they are Alpacas.

Wonder if they are as mean as Llamas?

See the small yellow and red sign on the wall of the cabin in the top picture? It's next to the emergency alpaca shutoff button.

Surprisingly, the alpacas are a pretty big hit here in Galena and Jo Daviess County. They got some air time on WGN earlier this year, so popularity in their attraction has soared. Thanks for posting the pictures. From your friendly hosts, the Galena/Jo Daviess County Convention & Visitors Bureau
