Although I am far from an expert on art periodically I like to look at least through the window at the myriad art galleries that populate River North in Chicago. And right in the window is some art?
It appears to be two baseball bats in a blue felt-lined box.

Uhm, no, not art. I wonder what the title of the piece is.
Maybe they are saving them for special occasions. There was an Italian restaurant on W. Grand Ave. that had some baseball bats stacked up behind the bar...
I speculate that its an economy meter.
If someone buys those as art it means that surplus cash is beginning to find its way into the American pocket again, and that the recession may soon be over.
If they sit there for a little while then its just two ball bats in felt lined boxes made from pallets.
