The Lolla crowd is pretty mixed and laid back, from what I was able to see. It was hot during the day so everyone sat under the shade of the trees on Balboa street and listened to the nearby stage (playing Louis XIV).
Here is a view looking south towards the main AT&T stage (where the big acts play) from near Balboa street. Note the new construction - there is a huge condo building (I assume) that must be 70 stories or so that has been completed looming over the festivities. If you enlarge the photo you can see a guy with no shirt on the left with a set of golden rams horns on his head, pretty funny.
Here is a view of the crowd from the East side on the main stage during Gogol Bordello, a very weird band, but like Jane's Addiction they understand the attraction of throwing a couple of pretty dancers in short skirts into the mix. The crowd really got in to a bunch of their songs. Many people were parked in front of the stage all day to get a good seat for the headliner. That must have been a long day in the sun.
As the sun set I was able to get this great shot of the sun going below the Hilton Towers building with the Sears Tower to the right (north). Don't try this with your own eyes or you'll have eye damage.
