Global Warming in Chicago
To follow up on Dan's post about Mr. Gore and global warming, here are some photos of the recent tropical heat wave (er... freezing cold weather) that has hit Chicago recently.
The top photo is a classic one of the "citified" car series (a word I made up which is defined as a car that has been in the City of Chicago a while and is so banged up that you don't care about it anymore) that I need to put together. The middle photo shows the frozen Chicago River, which hadn't been covered with ice in several years. Now the river and the lake are covered with ice, although the sun has been breaking it up a bit during the day recently. Finally, the last photo shows a lunatic who was walking in front of me with just a sport coat on during an absolutely bitter winter morning. He walked all the way down the block by the 20 N Wacker building which is a very long block and then I lost him in the crowd. This is one of those days when you don't have a hat and a scarf you really start to feel pain on your face.
I am dreaming about global warming now...
