How did you get that video up there? That is awesome.Actually it made me a bit queasy, no joke. I have a balance problem and can't turn around or go on rides. So I guess that means the video is effective :)
Just go up to video egg, and sign up for a free account. There is even an interface that lets you post your video directly to blogger. And it is at a great price - FREE. Zero bandwidth costs. It actually took longer to actually upload the video than to set up the interface.
Haha, wow. That brings back some great memories. My little sister and I used to make our dad ride that thing with us until he was green in the face and begging for mercy. Good times.
Hooray for the Tilt-A-Whirl!I miss the old gas-powered ones that the carnies could play with. A skilled carny could make a particular car whip around like mad, just by hitting the gas at the right times.
Actually the carnies can do exactly what you just described with the current electric setup. They have a handle and can alter the way the drive is set up to speed up or slow down the platform - if done at the right time a certain car will whip around faster than the others. It also depends on the weight distribution in the car. Check my original post from a year ago for the links to the answers to all of this.
All of the electric ones I've seen don't have the handle anymore. They're all push-button controlled.
I think those may be newer. All of the ones I have seen the past few years are all handle controlled, electric.
