D-Day. Photo credit here. Today is the 60th anniversary of VE Day. For those who don't know, VE (Victory in Europe) day is the day hostilities ended in Europe at the end of World War 2. Today I present a small collection of photographs to thank those vets who survived and to honor those who did not. Sadly for our men fighting in the Pacific, to them VE day was "just another day".
As an aside I have not been giving proper credit for photos that I have been posting on this blog. I will be doing so for all photos in the future if I did not take them myself.
