Here is a view of my neighborhood taken from space!

There is a great new site called Global Explorer that enables you to type in any address and zip code and you can see an overhead view from that spot. You can drill down into some surprisingly good details. It works best if your area doesn't have extensive tree coverage.

If you go to their site and you would like a photo without their watermark you can order one - that is their value added service. It is amazing that they have all of these images on file 0r are able to create the images "on the fly" - you can pan in all directions North, South, East and West. The coverage is probably sparser in rural areas but I am not certain - you can also select locations by GPS not just street address.
