Lawsuits - the cure for everything

As soon as I saw the Tsunami disaster I knew that there was only one certain thing that was going to come out of this...

lawsuits.

Accor is a French hotel company. They are noted for the Hotel Softiel here in Chicago and in other areas of the country. Since they are perceived to be a 'deep pocket', it was only a matter of time before they were sued, so here we go - check the link.

How anyone thinks this is going to make the world a better place is beyond me. This is just piling on to an already bad situation.

I am calling it here first - soon you will see lawsuits whenever people die of heart attacks in public places or private restaurants. Defibrilators are now available for under $1500 - check here.

However, of all the potential lawsuits, something good would actually come out of requiring those devices. Sudden cardiac arrest is a major killer and unless you get right to a hospital or are revived by a device like this you are basically dead, CPR or not.
